  • 1986


    Pos Ad was founded by Raymond Chew in 1986. With the partnership of Robert Loh and a borrowed capital of RM 25,000, a vision of in-store advertising, and armed with steadfast determination, Raymond embarked on his mission to help modern marketers build brands & drive sales where it mattered.

  • 1986

    Sound Ads, an in-house supermarket audio advertising programme, was the first medium in Pos Ad’s arsenal. Its’ success skyrocketed as it proved a very successful medium of reaching shoppers, with advertisers queuing up for advertisement slots.

  • 1990

    AMCORP came on board as the majority shareholder.

  • 1993

    Pos Ad’s first CSR project was ‘Project Little Ones’, where the staff of Pos Ad partnered with an orphanage to provide basic necessities such as clothes and books, as well as bringing the children out for movie outings and theme park visits.

  • 1994

    Listing Second Board with Rediffusion Bhd.

  • 1995

    The inception of Paragon Premiums was brought about to help marketers reward loyal consumers & shoppers.

  • 1998

    Raymond Chew, the founder, won the Chivas Regal Award. This award is given each year to half a dozen young entrepreneurs who have been exceptionally successful.

  • 1999

    As the business continued to expand, the Pos Ad family needed a larger space. To accommodate this, the Pos Ad Group, comprising of Pos Ad Media & Paragon Premiums moved into new offices at Phileo Damansara 2, Petaling Jaya.

  • 2001 & 2006

    Winner of Enterprise 50 Award (37th & 8th). The Enterprise 50 Awards, first established in 1996, celebrates and highlights the achievements of enterprising small and medium companies that are well positioned for the future.

  • 2002

    Jump retail was established to address the merchandising needs of the market with Nestle as the first business partner/ client.

  • 2009

    FELDA came on board as a minority shareholder.

  • 2014

    As the world moves into the digital age, Pos Ad continues to stay relevant with the inception of Shopwave, a company concentrating on digital marketing.

  • 2014

    Pos Ad won a top 10 placing in the SME 100 Award for our ability and success in providing relevant and cutting edge solutions to our customers at the retail level. We encourage constant innovation, not only to stay with the times, but also to forge ahead and break new ground. Supported by a team of 200 permanent and 1,000 contracted staff, Pos Ad Group of companies delivered a 10% revenue growth in 2014 amounting to RM 75mil.

Top 10 in the SME100 2014 Malaysia’s Fast Moving Companies

The award was very stringently judged based on the group’s turnover, market share, best practice and vision along with a long list of criteria. Competing with more than few hundred over Malaysian SMEs, achieving the top 10 is no easy feat.

Enterprise 50


It was in 2002 that Pos Ad was first awarded the title of an Enterprise 50 organization. This is an annual award in recognition of small and medium-sized companies in Malaysia. Organized by Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation (SMIDEC) and Deloitte KassimChan, Enterprise 50 evaluates the nominees based on the companies’ management and financial performance.

In 2006, Pos Ad was once again selected as a winner in the Enterprise 50 awards. This time, it climbed the ranks to appear in the Top 10 list clinching the 8th position an outstanding achievement for Pos Ad.

Chivas Regal Achievement Award

The Chivas Regal Award is designed to pay tribute to the vision and aspiration of dynamic entrepreneurs across Malaysia as well as to cultivate the ideologies of business excellence and forward thinking. Not industry-specific, the Chivas Regal award encourages corporate leaders to play a more active role in the local business environment for the betterment of the economy.
